Background and Education:
Dr. Jessica Wendling grew up in the Detroit metropolitan area. She graduated from Central Michigan University with Magna Cum Laude honors and worked as a cardiac rehabilitation specialist at Beaumont Hospital before pursuing her medical degree at Bastyr University. After earning a Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine, she went on to receive advanced training in biofeedback, neurofeedback, and other mind-body medicine modalities. She then finished her formal education by completing her residency, focused on mind-body medicine, working under one of Seattle Metropolitan’s Top Doctors.
Experience and Expertise:
Dr. Wendling has worked in diverse clinical settings including hospitals, community clinics, and oncology research clinics, along with international outreach sites as the former president of the Seattle chapter of Natural Doctors International. With years of experience and dedication, Dr. Jessica Wendling gained recognition from Seattle’s greater medical community and in 2019 she, herself, was voted one of Seattle Met’s Top Doctors. Now, Dr. Wending works out of her private practice in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle, where she specializes in neurological conditions, the stress response, and the mind/body connection.
Besides her work as a physician, Dr. Wendling completed a two-year Yi Ren Qi Gong Teacher Certification program. She offers qi gong exercises to her patients, should they express interest, and qi gong classes to the local community.
Beyond the herbal medicine and pharmacy classes of her doctoral program, Dr. Jessica Wendling pursued advanced training in medicine formulation and pharmacognosy. She then co-founded an herbal company called Red Cedar Botanicals. Through this company, Dr. Jessica Wendling and Sarah Tennent, LAc, are able to create and provide people with potent herbal medicine that restores the body’s natural rhythm and power, while supporting both environmental causes with ethical sourcing, and community grassroots efforts by donating a portion of all proceeds.
All of her continued endeavors are focused on evolving consciousness to support global health, journeying to the depths within, and empowering others to do the same.
She continues to learn and grow by serving her amazing patients, studying up-to-date research, attending medical conferences/workshops, and engaging in a personal daily practice to expand her own awareness and perceptions.
